Cumberland Workbench

Creative Community
Organised by:
Regent's Park

In partnership with University Arts London Central St Martins, students created a new community resource for residents - the Cumberland Workbench.

The workbench is to act as an outside venue for residents and local organisations to be able to host activities of their own or engage with residents. The workbench included some online consultation of what residents wanted to see happening and together UAL and Regents Park Community Champions have tried to address some of those - we have run pop up art and creative activities, music activities with local resident Steve and greening activities with Camden Green Gym and parks teams.

There have been three workbenches so far and we have our final one. Young people at Cumberland Fun Fest painted the doors and recently some umbrellas have been added for wetter weather and shade in summer.
